Healthy Kids Now! Illinois Action for Children will be visiting the Library on Wednesday, January 18th, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. They will be holding an event on enjoyable and easy methods to include exercise and nutritious foods in daily routines.  Child care providers and parents are encouraged to come. Light refreshments will be served.  If you are interested, please call 773-564-8781 to register.  

Narcotics Anonymous will be visiting the Library to explain the purpose of their organization on Monday, January 30th, from 6:30-7:30 in room 201. Narcotics Anonymous not only helps people with substance abuse problems, but educates children and adults on how to avoid substance abuse in the first place. Flyers will be available, which can be downloaded from http://chicagona.org. The helpline for Narcotics Anonymous in this area is 708-848-4884, and can be found at http://www.na.org/?ID=phonelines-us-iphone. Families are encouraged to come. This event is FREE.

The Community Nutrition Network for Seniors (CNN) will be meeting regularly in room #201 on weekday mornings, Monday through Thursday, from 7:30-1:00 pm.

The Library Board meeting will be on Wednesday, Janaury 11, 2012, at 6:30 pm.

The Library will be closed on January 16 for Dr. Martin Luther King's Birthday.
